This photo was made at around 2:00am at the Kaldbaks-kot Cottages just outside of town. There was a sea of lupine here and although I was exhausted and the sunrise glow was pretty dim I had to shoot it.
This is another composition of this location that I finally got around to processing. I think I like this angle better as the lupine get larger and larger in the frame. I also stack-focused this one and then blended the 4 shots by hand. I like how the warmer light hits the tops of the flowers and then gradually becomes moves into the cooler purple tones as you go towards the frame. Kept the light focused on the house but tried to keep all the detail in the flowers up close to me as well.
