Such a great morning with mini-me, aka “The Boss” @jordy.solofa at the Oakland Zoo yesterday. With her starting Jr. High School next week, it’s heavy on my heart as her Dad to see how much she has grown and matured into her own as a beautiful, intelligent and kind-spirited young lady. Parents, be present in molding the growth of your children because it happens so fast. We fail our children as their parents if we let them reach milestones like Jr. High, High School, College, and life outside the home, but we haven’t prepared them to walk through those halls with confidence, self esteem and good moral fiber and character. Don’t let your child be the kind of bully, snob or rude kid that everyone hates because then their path and journey will be harder in life.
