Romanea1 Waterfall of Mondulkiri Province (ទឹកជ្រោះរមនា១) !

It is 17km and about 30 minutes from Sen Monorom city. That is the main points of interest are a spectacular waterfall, dramatic mountainous forest, impressive undulated hills fresh air. There is a huge water reservation located below the waterfall which we can swim and enjoy with the shadow and beauty of the big trees surrounding the watefall. By the way, we would thanks very much to Mr. Ngin Sovimean, director of Tourism Department of Mondulkiri province who support out photo trip.

My name is Mardy SUONG, I am from the one of Cambodian Photographers. I wish to extend my heartfelt welcome to all international visitors and photographers to Cambodia-Kingdom of Wonder.

As one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in Southeast Asia, Cambodia’s rich heritage, cultural and natural resources offer a full range of cultural and eco-tourism sites that are both dynamic and sustainable. Highlights include Phnom Penh, the Angkor Wat and the Mekong River Dolphins, just to name a few.

The Kingdom’s capital is a dynamic city where visitors are in the mood for shopping, dining, sightseeing and more. As Cambodia’s hub for commerce, politics and tourism, Phnom Penh is also home to many important institutions and monuments such as Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace and the National Museum. The magnificent Angkor Wat and Preah Vihear, Heritage of Humanity and World Wonder, is probably the most exotic tourist destination in the world and the renowned yet very rare Mekong River dolphins can also be found in Cambodia. During your staying here, do visit and relax on Cambodia’s pristine beaches, explore the coral reefs around many of our beautiful islands and trek through lush mangrove forests. The bay of Cambodia has been inducted to the Most Beautiful Bay of the World Club.

Regards and thanks!

I just got back from two weeks in the eastern Sierra and Death Valley. It was definitely one of my favorite trips to date, not the most productive ever, but it was absoutley beautiful area to explore. I found this composition at Mono Lake on the second night of my trip and was determined to shoot it. It wasn’t until the third night that I was able to get the right combination of sky and lack of other photographers in the frame to pull it off. 5 shots for the focus blend, but I was able to use a single exposure thanks to the incredible dynamic range of the D800. I used some new processing techniques to achieve my vision and I have to say I am pretty happy with how it came out. Which is rare usually I feel like I kind of blow it when it comes to processing. Anyway thanks for stopping by and putting up with my yammering and please view this on BLACK!

Þjófafoss South Iceland

Unseasonably warm weather marked my excursion to the ice bubbles of Lake Abraham. Temperatures in the forties and fifties were quickly degrading the quality of the ice and bubbles. It did however create the lovely conditions of pockets of surface meltwater pools, and textured riffles across the lake.

On this particular evening, we started with flat gray clouds and little hope of a good sunset. Once it became clear that the light was going to go off, I was frantically looking for a good foreground to capture the moment I was seeing. Best night on the lake for me.

Þjófafoss ( Thiefs falls ) and mount Búrfell south Iceland.

Apparently, the falls got its name because thieves were drowned here for their crimes, this is something I have heard but find no actual proof of that, but knowing icelandic tales it is most likely true for that part that maybe 1 or 2 was drowned there ages ago.

Standing there taking the pictures in -14 degrees it sure felt the chills of this awesome place, though for its history cold and brutal.. then it sure is beautiful on this location.

Can be hard to reach this place in the winter time, however to our luck this time the extreme cold made us live easy since the snow was frozen solid and driving there was like driving on new laid down asphalt.
