‘Capital Sandstorm’

Abu Dhabi photographed from a helicopter just minutes before the sandstorm engulfed it entirely.
At first I was very disappointed with the visibility of this aerial photo session, but I had no choice in the matter. The shoot needed to happen regardless. Despite my initial worry, the light turned out quite interesting in the end; its quality was rather special and very moody. Just the way I like it.
Featured in the foreground is the Corniche Road, bending into the new Salaam Street. Prominent in the center is the Capital Plaza development.
Photographed with Canon 5dmk3 and Canon 8-15mm fisheye lens, set at 15mm.
