She leans in close, rubs her face against mine. And just like that – my heart rate slows, my brow unfurrows and I can breathe again.

It’s not her time to go, not just yet. Life is too wonderful while she’s in my world.

So dehydrated and emaciated she could barely stand. Covered in pustules, sores and lumps. Stella was in a bad way.

Then Pets Haven rescued her.

She was rushed to the emergency vet. After antibiotics and lifesaving fluids, plus the gentle care and love of the PH volunteers and her foster carer, Stella is on the road to recovery. She still needs surgery for cancer, but this will need to wait until she has built up her strength and weight.

Throughout the ordeal, Stella has been so sweet and gentle. She has won the hearts of Pets Haven. They are committed to giving this gorgeous girl everything she needs to ensure a complete recovery, so that she can eventually find her forever home.
