Europe – Austria – Österreich – Upper Austria – Salzkammergut – Hallstatt – Austria’s most picturesque village perched on the rim of south-western shore of the Hallstätter See – Lake – Sometimes called “The pearl of Austria”

Hallstatt, Upper Austria is a village in the Salzkammergut, a region in Austria. It is located near the Hallstätter See (a lake). It’s a scenic jewel, a hamlet of hill-hugging chalets, elegant church spires and ancient inns all reflected in the deep still waters of an Alpine lake. Hallstatt’s beauty has earned it a listing as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
