Few nights ago we got some Northern Lights hovering over the Reykjavik capital area. I went to Seltjarnarnes located within the captal area to capture the scenery and this scene is captured close to the seashore.

The lights in the sky was quite colorful like these shot can tell. Note that it is also nice to view the image on a black background!

I still remember the feeling of standing on the edge of a frozen lake in Iceland, not a soul around me, having completely forgotten about freezing and being exhausted – just staring in total awe and disbelief at the northern lights dancing above my head. It was the very last night of a month long trip to Iceland and Norway last winter and by far the most incredible Aurora Borealis I have ever seen. What a surreal and magical experience!

Last month I was able to enjoy the Northern Lights here in the Reykjavik capital area. The show lasted for quite some time and this time the lights were very strong and beautiful. At around midnight I went to the seashore next to Grótta to capture the scenery. It is probably one of the best spot to capture them here in the western part of the city, with no light pollution from the streets lights, you can enjoy them in darkness.
