Went for a little hike at a local wildlife refuge near downtown Philly last fall. Hard to believe this is just minutes from the international airport.

Hand blend of 5 exposures using luminosity masking followed by some minor sharpening tweaks in LS5.

This burrowing owl sure looks like he’s belting out an opera, but in reality it’s preparing to expel a pellet of undigestible matter, which is common in owls. Quite interesting to check out the contents as well. 🙂
