First photo of my last trip to UAE in january 2015. I took that photo by accident in a disappointed situation. We bought the most expensive tickets to get on the top of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and had to stay in a special lounge where we were able to watch the view through the windows and not, as most of the other people who bought the cheap tickets, on a platform outside of the tower. I went through the small lounge on the 125th floor and saw that spectacular view at dusk. I never saw a better view on Dubai Marina so I had to take the shot and at least I was happy. „smile“-Emoticon

Not a great composition. But I was there at that time and had to shoot something. Got the idea of using my car to create light trails. Took me a couple of few times, driving up and down, until I got this.

3 Exposures. Digital Blending.

Sprawling below is the first Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road, also known as Defense Roundabout – the busiest interchange in Dubai. At twilight, the colors and textures seemed to come alive as thousands of cars left long light trails through the frame.
