It was still pitch black to the naked eye when I took this shot, but the Alpenglow that was hitting the top of the mountains made it look like the sun has already risen. The red glow, yellow fall color and a hint of snow made a perfect morning for me.

The last scene from my Colorado trip over a year ago. This was supposedly one of the worst years for fall color. I can only hope I am lucky enough to return one day at peak.
