Wildlife have to face the challenges of survival through what can be a very harsh cold winter. A coyote curls up in isolation in the midst of the white winter landscape. To me, this image really tells the story. What do you think?

This Bald Eagle was soaring high over the Nooksack River (seen in the background) on an early winter morning hunt for spawning salmon. The Nooksack River is located in the Mt Baker region in Northern Washington State near the Canadian border. This area is near the town of Deming, Washington and is believed to have the largest concentration of Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states during the salmon runs. Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon in South Iceland.

The amazing minutes after a breathless sunset over this magical icebergs lagoon, photographed with the help of a ND1000 Haida filter for the long exposure.
I never get tired of this place.
