*The Spotted Jellyfish average 18-20 inches in diameter across the bell, but the largest ever recorded was 28 inches wide and was found on Sunset beach, North Carolina. *The males release sperm in to the water and the women put it in their mouths where they hold their eggs until they are fertilized and released in a sack on to the ocean floor. *The eggs clone themselves and live as juveniles for up to five years, and as adults for up to two years. *They thrive in warmer waters.
