Waking up on subarctic temperatures, wading through knee deep snow, scouting for new locations and enjoying nature’s showcase are some of the few reasons why I enjoy doing this adventure.

Lake Louise is surrounded by beautiful mountains and a majestic Victoria Glacier which offers activities such as snow-shoeing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and skating. It also houses one of the Rockies most iconic hotel that was built more than a century ago, The Fairmont Chateau Hotel.

Luckily blessed with a crisp and clear yet freezing sunrise weather during the last few days of 2014. A classic view of Lake Louise in winter. I can spend the whole day shooting here. Can’t way to visit and experience an emerald lake during summer and spring seasons.

(View on Black)

I titled it “Sickened” because after standing in ocean water for an hour I came down with a nasty cold. The things we landscape photographers put ourselves through! It was a beautiful evening at Land’s End in San Francisco, and evidently everyone thought so. I don’t think I have ever seen so many photographers at this place in one night.

One of the world’s top destination, New Zealand’s most famous destination – Milford Sound

Milford sound is on the south west of New Zealand’s South Island within the Fiordland National Park. Waking up on a clear and crisp morning of autumn 2013. The tides were calm enough to do reflection shots shocasing one of it’s famous mountains, Mitre Peak.

Taking at Manhattan Beach Pier, CA after work with my friend! We knew the date that the sun would be at the middle of the pier at sunset! So we were here early to wait for this moment. It was a great sunset that day and there were a lot of photographers came out to take photo. But I was so surprised that no one came and took photo under the pier except me and my friend. Maybe they didn’t know about this or they already took photos like this. Anyways, this pier is not popular as the Scripps pier in San Diego. I heard that there were a lot of photographers came to Scripps pier to capture a moment like this, so I’ve never been to that pier for the shot because of the crowd. I chose to take similar photo at Manhattan Beach and it’s not bad at all! 🙂
I really like this photo and I can’t wait for the next time. Thanks for stopping by and supporting my works everyone!

“BEST VIEWED ON BLACK”

Watching the tides at sunset is something I find hard to put into words. Seascape photography has really only been a huge part of portfolio for about a year or so. But I have had a strong connection with the ocean my entire life. The beach is where I do a lot of thinking and where I go to relieve stress, in a way seascape photography is like meditation for me.

Beaches seem to change day by day, progressing tides covering and revealing new formations. Every wave crash having a slightly different shape and a different form. Every time I revisit a costal location, I always find something new or something that I might have missed the first time around.

This specific photo has been on my list to capture for a long time, I kept visiting this beach getting poor conditions every single attempt. However this time I finally got some light that complimented the composition and fulfilled the vision I had for the photograph.

I really hope you all enjoy the photograph, thanks so much for checking it out.

I decided to post one more Mesa Arch shot. I like the POV on this one even though you don’t see the sun poking through the arch. It being January I wasn’t as ambitious about camping and backpacking as I may have been otherwise. I’m looking forward to exploring the Needles and Maze Districts in the spring when the temperatures are a little more agreeable. But for now I’m happy with what I got from Island in the Sky, even if they’re some of the more cliche shots.
