I absolutely find this #quote to be true. Right now, as I struggle to fall asleep tonight, I am marveling at all of the incredible #people who have entered my #life over this past year. I have found such a kinship with these #friends , who much like myself, have overcome crazy obstacles or trauma and taken their experiences to #grow from and become more humane, empathetic, #kind, brave, strong, #compassionate, free, confident, etc. I admire the inner-strength, self-control, discipline, and determination that is necessary to accomplish such a feat, as I have found this to be quite difficult for most of the people I have encountered on this earth. I have long vocalized that I believe every person has their great challenge(s) to face in life. Everyone makes a choice on whether or not to give up, to rise from the ashes, to not wallow in self-pity (or not wallow forever), to not make excuses as to why they can’t accomplish something, and to still show kindness, and not spread negativity in bitterness.
