~Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.~ Edgar Allan Poe

Timing the “right” time for fall colors on the Havasupai waterfalls is a very tricky problem. the canyon is sheltered from the elements and usually fall colors can happen as late as early December. This particular image of Havasu Falls was taken in late November and the fall colors were not “full blast” yet. I guess I have to come back again, and again…. Hello everyone, first upload of 2015!

This was one of the last shots I took in the Lake District in 2014. This is Ashness Jetty a place I visited many times last year to get the shot I wanted. I still haven’t got the shot yet but I do love this image! I really like that in this image you can actually see the change into the “Golden Hour.”

For anybody interested I have recently set up a Facebook page, feel free to like it 🙂 – http://on.fb.me/1z8CRhE

Half Dome, arguably the most distinctive rock in Yosemite last November in a foggy and cold morning. I did not expect to still see any fall colors, but I was pleasantly surprised by it.

If I remember it right, I’ve stacked a 3-stop ND filter and a CPL to get a longer exposure on this shot to capture smooth water and the movement of the kids playing at the falls. Watching them climbing up the water falls and jumping makes me want to join them but decided to just take pictures, which is probably a smart decision, otherwise I might end up in the hospital 🙂

Wish everybody a great start of the week!

The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves. ~Steven Spielberg~

Delicate Arch, arguably the main attraction of Arches National Park is viewed zoomed in from a side angle across the canyon. A massive summer storm (Cumulonimi clouds that can easily reach more than 40,000 feet into the atmosphere) moves in and probably scared off all the people. The Arch sheer size is 65-ft/20 m tall freestanding. Thank you all for your support and feedback!
