On a beautiful January day we took a super 4×4 upto Aldeyjarfoss only to have to walk 2/3 of the way up there when our driver got his car totally stuck (4 hours to get it out).

But hiking the last 45 min was well worth it. By the time we got up there the light came out and for 2 hours we shot the waterfall in colorful soft light. Here I had the light behind me and an incoming snow shower was lit up.

As some locations in Iceland are getting quite busy there are still beautiful locations that see very little traffic, specially in the winter months.

Shot while a Lofoten Tour the first week of 2015.

It was an icy cold night and I hoped for some aurora activity, but instead of green lights I just got some nice reflections of the “city” and the surrounding mountains.

Nevertheless, I hope you like it!
