My alarm woke me up at 0400 am, after driving more than four hours (most of the time in total darkness) I ended up by the foot of this mountain..;). Hard to describe the feelings inside a tired photographers heart when you get light like this..!
My alarm woke me up at 0400 am, after driving more than four hours (most of the time in total darkness) I ended up by the foot of this mountain..;). Hard to describe the feelings inside a tired photographers heart when you get light like this..!
Title refer to one of the chapters in “The chronicles of Narnia”, and visiting Bø in Vesterålen a couple of days ago gave me the inspiration and the feeling of actually being a part of the fantasy novel written by C.S. Lewis. The small island out there to the left is named Spjøten,and the mountain to the right is named Engenyken. Bø in Vesterålen is a a municipality located west on the very big island Langøya. The region Vesterålen (which Bø is a part of) can easily be compared to the more famous neighbor region in south, Lofoten. It is really a place worth visiting if you have the chance;)!

Back to the photo…Yet another one from this location, another month, another time of the day, another atmosphere…Right after sunset, you can still get glimpses of the sunset colors with GND like in this case, at this one of my fav and usual spots in Lofoten Islands, Norway. It is called Hamnøya and it’s right after you pass Reine to Svolvær direction. I used my 14-24 mm here as well, and a GND was on top of an ND1000 for the 86 sec exposure.
