Ungratefulness is a plague on this world. People take advantage of things every day, some more than others. We take advantage of clear skin, of our families, and of help that others offer us. We are so selfish and narcissistic at times that we regard help as a personal attack. When I tell people what I know about something, usually they’re grateful & say wow, thanks for telling me! Then others are like no, no, no, you’re wrong (cue plugged ears, screaming & stomping) just because they can’t fathom the concept that they may have made a mistake. Life isn’t about not making mistakes, it’s about learning from them, and being grateful of those who help you along the way. Wake up in the morning with the mindset that you’re going to be grateful – maybe someone is going to tell you your favourite snack can cause potassium toxicity, but instead of getting upset over the news, try being grateful. Try saying thank you for the advice, whether you choose to take it or not. Being grateful doesn’t mean you have to agree, but you can put that information in your repertoire and use it for later. I know I need to be more grateful for all I have and for the advice and tips people give me … & I hope you’ll all try to be more grateful in the things you do, as well. 🌸💕
