Motivated by Lake Tahoe’s amazing light, I got out there early this morning and was treated to a Tahoe style delicacy before breakfast… 🙂

Reflection of the autumn wood in mountain lake

Waking up on subarctic temperatures, wading through knee deep snow, scouting for new locations and enjoying nature’s showcase are some of the few reasons why I enjoy doing this adventure.

Lake Louise is surrounded by beautiful mountains and a majestic Victoria Glacier which offers activities such as snow-shoeing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and skating. It also houses one of the Rockies most iconic hotel that was built more than a century ago, The Fairmont Chateau Hotel.

Luckily blessed with a crisp and clear yet freezing sunrise weather during the last few days of 2014. A classic view of Lake Louise in winter. I can spend the whole day shooting here. Can’t way to visit and experience an emerald lake during summer and spring seasons.

Another Monument In Life

We strode on the meadow and we’re in the breeze,
We lifted our heads and watched the changing clouds,
Turning to crimson from a lack lustre grey. You
Was so amused by the sight when the last light still prevailed.

You looked into the reddish pink sky with such an ecstasy
That joy gently oozed from you gentle lips.
I however looked at a different scene:
A face beautiful that was amorously tinted as such.

We came to the monument, a memory of something,
Which no longer important. For now I took it as another
Monument in my life, the moment
The first time you walked with me.
