Last shot of the May 20th Mammatus Clouds. I figured the best way to finish the spectacular display Mother Nature showed would be a 6 image panoramic shot. I have been chasing storms for over 20 years and this day was the best Mammatus Cloud display I have ever seen in person. I hope you enjoy it also!

I was shooting macros in our garden a couple of years ago and was lucky enough to find a friendly praying mantis on one of our bushes.

My luck continued when the mantis jumped on the camera lens when I moved in to get a really close shot. After I got over my shock, I handed my camera to my wife and took this shot with another camera I had nearby….

It is a real single shot photo – not a composite.

Hiking along and above the Pedernales River in Texas, I took this scenic image. Shortly before, shooting this landscape, I had heard a buzzing coming from some nearby cover and I knew from experience that it was a rattlesnake. I gave it a wide berth and continued on my hike.
