This is a shot i took last summer, you may have already seen it at kujaja.com ?
I set up in a field using a .6nd filter to try and maximize the chance of catching a strike. I got about 10 strikes within an hour all of them being many miles away and not worth talking about, but this one was close, this one made me jump, i reckon no more than 1-2 miles away, the crash was almost in sink with the light. Shortly after this the rain and wind came and i made a quick exit and went home and changed my pants !!

Outside my apartment complex, it began to rain. Lightning periodically struck Shanghai. I was almost not going to go. Over an hour later, after navigating through Shanghai’s public transportation system, I was snapping away, hoping to get the lightning strikes to show up in the shot. Oftentimes, the lightning struck in between shots, which truly infuriated me. But finally, luck was on my side and sent a blast of lightning into the corner of this shot. It wasn’t in the perfect location, but I was more than happy as I trudged home in the pouring rain. 500px.com/photo/56345652
