Electrify II – From September in NYC

http://bit.ly/1K38SuS

Another shot from the evening when Toby Harriman and Michael Shainblum invited me to shoot a sunset on Rodeo Beach. Being stuck with 35mm fix when the guys are there in the water with 16mm, you kinda have to be creative and take it easy with the wide angle and look for a different perspective. It’s been a great light, and an amazing test for a Sigma 35mm Art lens I recently got. The colours and sharpness of this lens are fantastic — if you catch the right moment, the lens doesn’t disappoint.

*The Colorful End*
Last night Griffin, Michael and I headed out to Lands End for another 90% Skunk possibility. But then again we knew there was a slight chance it could blow up like last week at Rodeo Beach. And if you don’t go, you won’t get anything!

I definitely struggled finding a comp that I was happy with here. However, there was this flower bed, which I have actually shot before and didn’t like the shot I got. I think this time though, I am pretty happy with the outcome. This is a 6 image focus stack.
