Check out my latest tutorial!
.:BEST VIEWED WITH BLACK BACKGROUND:.

I’ve been imagining this image for a while now, ever since I noticed this place a couple years ago. I always figured this would be a quite difficult shot to pull of, as the narrow bridge I’m standing on is in a awkward position considering the angle of this gorge.
By hanging my camera and tripod out from the bridge, I manage to find a composition I felt good about. Now the next challenge is the vast difference in light, from the darkest shadows in the rocks to the very bright sky above. I needed 7(!) images to fully capture the dynamic range.
I loved the dark red skies floating on the sky, making this a pretty dramatic view. Not sure if this would be the entrance or exit to Hell, what do you think?

A single film-emulation preset was the only post-processing. Taken last spring. Can someone explain to me how the single, unpaged, continuous way of browsing photos on 500px is an improvement? Am I wrong or do you have to restart at the top of the list everytime you exit a photo that you’ve clicked on…Help!
