Photography is to “paint with light”. In the genre of wildlife photography, things are no different. The light filtering through the forest canopy of Mana Pools is something else indeed. I was simply photographing the light/forest scene when an impala stepped into the perfect spot. Click.

I am headed back there tomorrow hosting a photographic safari.

This is the famous herd led by an elephant by the name of Nzou. Nzou has been with the herd her whole life and leads the buffalo as if she was one. Nzou is the Shona word for elephant.
