Methane Ice Bubbles

Trip to Abraham…
What an amazing experience to be in this place to captured these little creatures called the Methane Ice Bubbles….Despite of strong wind gust and coldness after capturing this is truly breathtaking and rewarding. I won’t ask for more beauty than this. What a gift from God… such a blessings to take this home.

One of the highlights of our trip was to see Abraham Lake. Despite the windy and icy conditions, we still decided to go and just drove slow and took our time. Upon reaching the first location – Preacher’s point, west most end of Abraham Lake, strong winds and snow from the east were blowing like crazy. Visibility went from bad to worse. Since it was still too early to shoot, we decided to visit Aurum Lodge, a few kilometers down the road. Had a blast meeting and talking with the owner, even invited us for a cup of coffee! We were told that the driving condition was much worse if we go further towards Nordegg. Ended up back to Preacher’s point, making the best out of what I can. Walking on ice was a challenge, one wrong move and your boom! Home of amazing ice bubbles. There’s just so many places to see but there’s so little time. Enjoy!
