Life’s journey is so short and so fast that we often blink and it feels that decades have passed us by. I measure my life’s timeline now by how much Mini-me @jordy.solofa grows (as I’m sure most parents do with their kids) and these past 10 years of her life have indeed gone by in the blink of an eye. But I’ve been blessed to spend all of theses formidable years of her life with her because I made a decision to change careers, which has allowed me to be available to her on the days she is with me and while I work less than most in my industry, I get to collect a lot of great moments with her which are worth their weight in gold. What are you collecting to make life memorable for you? Thrift shops and flea markets and consignment stores are filled with people’s unwanted collectibles, clothes, and material things. Attics, closets, garages and storage units are filled with casted off, boxed up memories that are long since forgotten. While to each their own on how we choose to spend our days, we could all be better served to enjoy life more by spending less time collecting things that will be discarded and forgotten, and spend more time collecting smiles, hugs, love, laughter, joy and happiness….because life’s best moments can be stored in the heart and taken everywhere, even up to our last waking moments on this Earth.
